Giving a helping hand to the local Border Collie Rescue

I always planned to keep in touch with Marian from Valgray's Border Collie rescue after I rescued my dog 2 years ago, and well I'm so glad I did. I had several dogs come up that needed rehoming which I did myself but with Marians support. Then one of my lovely customer's asked me that if a Border Collie Puppy came up could I let her know as she really wanted one. I let Marian know and knowing they don't come up too often didn't expect to hear anything for a while. To our surprise it wasn't long before I got a phone call from Marian, there's a 6 month old boy in the pound just being signed over to the rescue. I went with Marian to the pound and met this little puppy called Jet. He was such a handsome little boy, very thin as he had been a stray, a very lovely natured little chap. I sent his picture off to my customer Sue but with no doubt he was the right one for Sue I took him home with me. I kept him for a week and slowly introduced him to Sue's other dogs while walking them. We introduced him to his new family and Jet is now Ollie and one very happy and healthy young boy. This was the moment I realised how much I can do to help. How the doggy day care and all the walks can be so great for a young pup in need of a second chance.

So since November last year I have been fostering puppies for Valgray's Border Collie Rescue and well I love it to bits.
