This is the very sweet 8 month old Digby who came in around the 6/01/2014. Digby was bought at 9 weeks old and was too much for his owners to cope with. He is lovely with other dogs and people and is a great character. He needs a fair bit of training as he gets very easily distracted so doesn't always come back when called, he would much rather go and play with all the other dogs. He also gets bored very quickly and likes to be doing something all the time so as normal with collies he will need a lot of mental stimulation as well as a lot of exercise. Oh and he barks when he wants attention too. So over the next few weeks I will be training him to prepare him for a new home. So far today he has been learning not to bark for attention which has gone very well, he did some training on his walks to pay attention to me but still has a lot of work to do. Not bad for his first day though he's a very smart chap
Update: 21/01/2014:
I'm pleased to say Digby is going to a new home on a trial basis on Sunday - He has to pass a cat test (Digby seems to be more scared of cats than anything, he didn't even seem bothered by the one he met earlier until it hissed at him). He also has to be accepted by their other dog Zach (who I walk everyday). They get on very well on walks but Zach is very dominant so may be different in his own home. Keeping everything crossed for him.

So far so good with Digby in his new home, he seem's to be more scared of the cat than anything. He look's nice and relaxed in the picture I was sent yesterday by his new owners.
